Title: Scoring Freebies for Your Stage Manager’s Kit
Looking to gather free samples for your stage manager’s kit? I’ve been doing it for a while and I’ve found an easy way to stock my kit without breaking the bank.
It’s all about planning ahead. Get into the habit of regularly visiting websites that offer freebies. But remember, patience is key, as most free samples take 4-6 weeks to arrive.
Here’s what I’ve accumulated for free so far:
1. Gel Book: Swing by your local Rosco supplier to pick up a free gel book. They usually carry free Lee and Apollo gel books too.
2. Hand Sanitizer: Join the Bath & Body Works email list to get free travel sized items. They also offer freebies on Facebook occasionally.
3. Pads & Tampons: U by Kotex usually has free samples. If that’s not your thing, websites like Go Freebies regularly list similar freebies.
4. Deodorant: Walmart and Target often give out free deodorant samples. Keep an eye on their free sample offerings.
5. Tissues: Kleenex run campaigns which let you send tissues to a friend (hint: be your own friend).
6. Rubber Gloves: There are places online where you can order a free sample.
7. Aspirin and Antacids: Sample offers can often be found for brands like Bayer and Aleve. Again, Go Freebies and AllYou are useful sites to monitor.
8. Band-aids: You can sign up for Band-aid’s mailing list to get coupons and notification of free samples.
9. Contact Solution: Next time you visit your eye doctor, ask if they have an extra bottle of contact solution.
10. Toothbrush & Floss: Rather than disposing of the goody bag from your dentist, use the items for your kit.
11. Tea: No shortage of free tea samples. Websites like Yogi, Bigelow, Twinnings, and Tetley regularly feature on free samples sites.
For office supplies, Staples rewards club and blogs like Stapler Confessions can show you how to max out their program to get lots of free stuff.
Watch these websites for great freebies: GoFreebies, AllYou, Beauty, Events and Free Stuff, FreeSamples.org, Snag Free Samples, Totally Free Stuff, Hunt4Freebies, Scam Free Samples, I Crave Freebies.
Lastly, consider setting up a separate email for these freebie websites to avoid massive ad-spam. It’s a small step that saves you a lot of irritation.
