“Ways to Save Money at Stapler Confessions”
Ever feel like certain household items are a pain to buy? The kind that we always need, but you hesitate because they seem a bit too expensive for what they offer?
Well, printer paper and ink used to get on my nerves! Nowadays, I have a blast picking up these items since I’ve figured out how not to pay for paper and always get the best deal on ink. Why the change? My love for Staples deals grew out of the sheer frustration I used to feel when my printer signaled it needed more paper or ink.
I’m pleased to share my techniques on scoring these big deals. So, here’s the scoop…
“Here’s How NOT to Pay for Printer Paper”
Staples often gives out packs of paper, even sometimes entire cases. The only little requirement is that you have to fill out a rebate form and wait for them to return your money.
Rebates have a bad rap, and for good reason. Traditional rebates mean filling out a tiny form, cutting out specific codes, saving the receipt and photocopying everything before sending it off into the unknown and waiting for weeks. That’s not what you’ll encounter with most Staples rebates. After checking out, they give you a rebate receipt that allows you to submit your rebate online. It’s as easy as filling out some basic info, and next time around, it will only take a few clicks to complete.
Once you’ve submitted your online rebate – no scanning or cutting necessary – Staples immediately sends you a confirmation email. Also, you can check the status of your rebate anytime, and they’ll notify you when your check is on its way.
“Getting the Best Price on Printer Ink (and all other Staples items)”
Staples allows you to combine their price-matching policy with their store coupons. When I’m running out of ink, I usually notice a Staples coupon for 10% to 25% off on ink or office supplies. I then scour the web for the cheapest ink cartridge and Staples matches that price. They even let me use the in-store coupon for an extra discount. It feels good when you score a deal on something you thought was too expensive!
I’ve also applied price-matching to other items, and I was thrilled with the results each time. Once, I used a coupon to match the price of our printer and saved $100. The icing on the cake was paying for it with our Staples Rewards, their loyalty program that offers cash back on purchases.
My blog is all about informing people about the best deals at Staples every week. The deals span from office supplies to tablets and even to ways to make a few bucks.
Particularly, rebates and price-matching combined with coupons are my favourite ways to get freebies and awesome prices at Staples. But there are other smart ways to use Staples’ programs to your advantage as well.
