Boosting Your Side Income
Hello there! I’m thrilled to feature some words of wisdom from my friend, Jesse from LiveGoldRich, who’s really got the hang of his cool sideline gig as a stage hypnotist. But more importantly, Jesse is amazing at selling products (something I can’t say about myself), and he’s got some practical tips to help push your side income to new heights.
Note: Do stay away from actual steroids, folks.
We’re currently living in the era of the side hustle, which brings a multitude of opportunities. A good side gig can alleviate debt and fund those dreamy holidays for us. And if you’re not already partaking in one, you should consider it.
However, the issue is that side hustles often lack systems to automatically ramp up your earnings. Today, Jesse is sharing his tried and tested methods, affectionately dubbed “Side Hustle Steroids”, to help you break free from the fear of rejection, break through pricing barriers, and ensure steady income coming your way.
These Side Hustle Steroids are about offering add-on services to increase your earnings further. One woman even quit her accounting job to follow her passion and ended up making a whopping $100,000 a year through these techniques.
If you have customers, you’re already on the way. Whatever you do – dog sitting, housecleaning, tech repairs, or writing – your customers have the potential to boost your earnings. Research shows the simplest way to increase earnings is by tapping into your existing customers.
Jesse’s first strategy is straightforward – charge more. Starting side hustlers often sell themselves short. Don’t shy away from setting higher prices for quality services because quality service attracts quality customers who are willing to pay more.
Initially, Jesse, too, undercharged for his stage hypnosis. But once he increased his rates, despite losing seventy percent of clients, he ended up with a better-quality customer base which brought in more quality referrals. The takeaway is not to limit your belief in what you can charge.
Now, not every side hustle attracts high-cost customers. Some provide low-cost initial services as a gateway to recurring customers. Think of dog walkers, house cleaners, or personal trainers – these are subscription services. To boost your earnings, consider offering additional services.
For instance, a dog groomer can offer post-grooming walks or nutritional advice. The more value you add – the more opportunities to earn. Even a small add-on like selling recorded sessions to tutoring clients can significantly increase your income.
Finally, ensure you stay in touch with your clients. The biggest mistake many side hustlers make is not having a strategy for customer retention. Keep reminding your customers of your services through occasional emails, newsletters, or special offers. The more prominent you are in your customer’s mind, the more likely they are to re-hire your services.
Implement these systems to your side hustle, and you’re sure to see increased customer retention, secure future income, and a noticeable boost in your earnings per customer.
