Tips for Maximizing and Saving During Your Summer Staycation
Hi there, I’ve got something interesting to share. You know I adore a good summer staycation! For the coming weeks, I’m looking forward to combining work with some serious relaxing time. I’m stoked about getting sun-tanned, reuniting with my buddies, and more importantly, going on exhilarating journey.
However, experiences can tally up, right? That’s why bargain hunting is an integral part of my plan, though I’m not fiscal tightwad anymore. But, who wants to blow cash aimlessly?
You know what, planning a kickass summer doesn’t have to mean draining your wallet. One easy money-saving trick is planning ahead. Do a little research, whether it’s a quick Google search or checking out discounts on platforms like Living Social.
A while ago, my best friend and I decided to play tourists in our own city, New York! It’s a weird yet hilarious thought, given that it’s where we reside. We realized that we’ve overlooked so many awesome attractions available in our city. In fact, some of them are a bit on the pricey side.
Ever used a city pass while traveling? They’re wonderful. Guess what I discovered? There’s one for NYC! I’ve had this wish to visit the top of Empire State Building but, man, it’s expensive! The city pass option seems like a dream come true. You can find more of these on the Smart Destinations website and make your staycation even more affordable.
I had a blast using the Go City cards in Oahu some years back, finding more great offers to choose from. Now, I’m planning to use this sort of card for my NYC staycation. Some must-see places for me are the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, and a Circle Line Cruise. Also, there are some other potential activity ideas like the Catacombs by Candlelight Tour, Hamilton Happy Hour Tour, Food on Foot Tours, Brooklyn Bridge Bike Tour, Radio City Stage Door Tour, and the 9/11 Museum.
Isn’t it odd how we miss out on fantastic stuff in our city or the one nearby simply because it feels so commonplace? Let’s broaden our horizons and start exploring. I was personally taken aback when I found a thriving local brewery and some incredibly awesome free events downtown in my city.
Lastly, to help you have an affordable yet exciting staycation, the Smart Destinations website gives up to 55% off on All Attraction Passes.
